Established in 1893, Sunkist Growers Inc. originated from "The South California Fruits and Agricultural Cooperatives". It is the world's oldest and largest citrus marketing organization. Sunkist Growers' foundation was laid over a century ago. Unlike many food companies, Sunkist Growers is owned by more than 6,000 citrus growers in California and Arizona, most of whom are small family farmers, with approximately 2,000 of those growers producing lemons. Sunkist Growers distributes SunkistŪ oranges, lemons, grapefruits and many other specialty products to different places around the world.
